||Performance Repertoire Rehearsals Begin
In preparation for the upcoming Minnesota Rennaissance Festival and other performances in 2018-2019, rehearsals of the new performance repertoire will be held 7:30 to 9:30pm on Mondays (at Tapestry Folkdance Center) and Fridays (at Freedom Center) through Monday, August 13th. NOTE: No rehearsals 6/29, 7/2, 7/6, or 8/3. »More details about rehearsals and participating in RenFest

||TAC Summer School
We are excited to announce that for the first time, the Twin Cities will host the annual Scottish country dance summer school run by Teachers Association (Canada). The Summer School offers SCD classes during the day and social dances every evening, including a formal ball at the end of the week, all with live music. Midwest Area Events

||Midwest Scottish Weekend
The Midwest Scottish Weekend is an annual workshop and ball weekend held at Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, WI. This year's event will feature guest instructor Tim Wilson (from San Francisco, CA), plus Welsh dancing with Mady Newfield (Chicago, IL) and live music by fiddler Deby Benton Grosjean and pianist Andy Imbrie (from northern California). The weekend includes a welcome dance on Friday night, a formal ball on Saturday night, and classes on Saturday and Sunday. Scholarship assistance is available.
