22 January 2018 Scottish Country Dance Mini-Course Begins
Whether you're curious about Scottish country dancing or if you're a lapsed SCDer looking for a review, this 4-week session will give you an overview of the basic elements. The full course costs just $12 ($10 for Tapestry Folkdance Center members). No need to be Scottish or to bring a partner! Be sure to invite your friends! »More information

Celebrate your love of dance and take your mind off the weather with some informal social dancing, featuring live music by the Talisker Collective. 7:30pm at Tapestry Folkdance Center with your MC, Dan Friedman~Shedlov.

Mark your calendars and plan to join us at the historic Sokol Hall in St. Paul, for dinner and dancing to the music of Paul Woodiel (fiddle) and a special guest pianist from Oslo, Norway. »More information coming soon
29 July - 5 August 2018 TAC Summer School
We are excited to announce that for the first time, the Twin Cities will host the annual Scottish country dance summer school run by Teachers Association (Canada). The Summer School offers SCD classes during the day and social dances every evening, including a formal ball at the end of the week, all with live music. 20-21 January 2018 Chicago New Years Ball Weekend
The RSCDS Chicago Branch will host their annual New Years Ball Weekend in St. Charles, IL, featuring music by 2014 national Scottish fiddle champion Tim Macdonald with Jeremy Ward on violone. The weekend includes a ball on Saturday night and a tea dance on Sunday morning/afternoon.
27 January 2018 Central Iowa Branch Day School and Burns Ball
The RSCDS Central Iowa Branch will host the Ron and Holly Fuchs Annual Day School and Burns Ball with our own Chandi McCracken as guest instructor.
9-11 March 2018 Madison Annual Ball Weekend
The Madison Scottish Country Dancers will host their 41st Annual Ball featuring music by Calum Pasqua (fiddle) and Susie Petrov (piano).
